Cebu Pizza! the Mamma Maria’s Pizzeria – Home to the BIGGEST Pizza in the Philippines!
My wife Tish and I are always scouting for new places to eat. Yeah, we both love food. While we wanted to try Calda’s Pizza, we decided to check out first Mamma Maria’s Pizzeria. Why? primarily because we wanted to see the BIGGEST PIZZA in the Philippines! We’re not going to order it of course, it’s obvious Tish and I can’t even finish 1/4 of it together. Anyway, this Pizzeria is located here.

So here we are, just a humble place, good space and less crowded. Good, I like it that way. I hate crowded places.
This was certainly a change from my normal quiet nights in where I might order a deep pan cheesy filled pizza, while reading up on Poker DK or watching football. Seeing the biggest pizza in the Philippines was going to make my regular size base look minuscule. I thought the XXL Party Size 30 inch pizza on the menu was insane because I felt like I gained a stone just looking at the thing. But it was nothing compared to the country’s biggest base.
As we entered the place, the crew where very accommodating and friendly.
To the MENU!

Yup, That’s how big the pizza is, the biggest so far! Unfortunately, it’s not yet available until August. Well, just a few more days and we’ll finally get to see the BIGGEST PIZZA in the Philippines.

Prices are ok and competitive when compared to Calda’s Pizza but for any food lover, price alone doesn’t make it good for value!
Since it’s our first time, we decided to ask advice from the waiters of their specialty or best sellers. So we got one of their best seller, the Mamma Mia Pizza. We just ordered the single serve – 8 Inches which cost P89.00.

And we added a Bolognese – large serving which cost P89.00.
Add 2 iced teas and our total bill was P214.00. The pizza looked like scrambled eggs with pizza toppings, but they taste good. Not as good as the best pizzas here in Cebu City though. As for the bolognese, well, I know how to cook my own bolognese and this just doesn’t pass near any of them. I’m not saying I am as good as the PRO, but I’m confident that anyone who loves pasta would agree with me once they taste this.
Overall, I’d rate my “food trip” experience at 6/10. This is my first visit and I haven’t really tried the rest of their entries. I’d recommend Mamma Maria’s Pizzeria to anyone who is on a budget and wants to treat a large group. That 52″inch pizza with beer? Ha! That’ll be great for the boys!

Yup. It should be available already by now. It was July when we first visited this place and they told us that time that their 52inch pizza will only be available by August. Please call them at 417-11-77 to inquire for the latest prices since I took these pictures last July this year. They probably have a new menu now.

Mamma Maria’s (IT Park, Cebu) customer service was the worst I’ve experienced so far! I was there with friends yesterday and employees there were insensitive and incompetent. We were the only customers then and they didn’t even bother to look outside and take our orders. Eventually someone from the group had to go inside (after more than 10 minutes of raising our arms to let them know) and inform them that we would like to order something. To her surprise, the crew told her “didto lang sa gawas” in a rude manner. We just let it pass since we were enjoying then. The male crew was about to deliver our pizza and boom! before we can even react, the pizza’s on the floor. Nobody went to our table and apologize because we had to wait for another 20 minutes to have a bite! When the lady (with green nail polish!) delivered our order, we asked her why they didn’t even bother earlier to approach us and ask if we’re willing to wait. She just said “inventory man lang gud ko sir” without giving an apology! Come on, she saw everything for Pete’s sake! Ask me if I’ll go back there, hell no! My friends feel the same way! Way to go MAMMA MARIA!
